Prudential Laos Launches insurance plan for COVID-19

PRUCOVID-19 Carefree Plus Covers COVID-19 Diagnosis, Vaccination Side Effects And Loss Of Life

Vientiane, Laos, 26th October 2021

 

Prudential Life Assurance (Lao) Limited Company (“Prudential Laos”) has launched its new protection product, “PRUCOVID-19 Carefree Plus” which provides coverage for COVID-19.  In line with Prudential’s commitment to protect the health and wellness of the Lao people, PRUCOVID-19 Carefree Plus provides a support allowance of 5,000,000 LAK upon COVID-19 diagnosis and 20,000,000 LAK upon loss of life due to COVID-19. Additionally, a compensation of 300,000 LAK/day will be paid for up to 10 days of hospitalisation. In the event that registrant passes away due to direct effect of adverse event following immunization (COVID-19 vaccine) within Lao PDR 20,000,000 LAK will be paid.

 

This plan also offers an extra 50% support to teachers or professors, students, hospital and healthcare workers, amounting to 7,500,000 LAK upon the diagnosis of COVID-19 and 30,000,000 LAK upon the loss of life due to COVID-19.

Lao residents, residing in Lao PDR aging from 18 years of old or above, who holds a valid Lao identity card, family book, or passport are eligible to register for this product. All registrations are subjected to a 14-day waiting period from the registration date and all eligible registrants can only claim afterwards.
